CareCircle Family exists because caring for someone you love is often a team effort — but the practical side of it rarely feels that way.
Why I built CareCircle
I created CareCircle after caring for my Dad, alongside my younger brother, during a very difficult final year of his life. Dad's needs became increasingly complex — he lived with diabetes, his mobility reduced, and eventually he was bed-bound.
Alongside the caring itself, there was so much to keep track of: an accurate family note of medication changes his clinicians told us about, what had been started or stopped, appointments, what he was eating and drinking, and his everyday needs. Then there were the handovers and updates between my brother and me, and with the nurses and carers who supported him.
Too often it felt as though we were spending our time coordinating his care rather than simply being his children and enjoying time with him. At the start, we also didn't know what support was available, and there was no easy way to hear from other families going through something similar.
After Dad died, I wanted to turn that experience into something that could make the organising side of caring a little lighter for another family. That is what CareCircle is for: less time coordinating care, more time being family.
The organising side of care
Many people don't realise how much organisation caring involves until it becomes part of family life. Appointments get missed because they were only in one person's diary. The same questions get asked again because nobody wrote the answer down. Someone quietly picks up most of the load. CareCircle Family brings the appointments, tasks, notes, documents, shopping and everyday details into one shared, private place — and it's free for families.
Your family's information stays yours
Only the people you invite can see your Circle. We never sell access to your information, and no outside organisation gets automatic access to your family's records.
What CareCircle Family is
CareCircle Family is organisational software for families. It helps everyone involved in caring for someone find the information their role allows, share the load, and stay in the loop without endless phone calls and group messages.
What CareCircle Family is not
CareCircle Family is not medical, legal or financial advice, and it is not a clinical record system or emergency service. It does not replace the guidance of a doctor, solicitor, financial adviser or other professional — it simply helps your family keep track of the practical things around that care.
Who builds it
CareCircle Family is built by SDA Digital Labs, a small team designing calm, practical software for everyday family life.
