Our approach
CareCircle Family is a private family care organiser. Families may choose to record sensitive personal and health-related information, so data protection has to be part of how access and sharing work. We are based in the UK and apply UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. What this means in practice
You choose what to record
CareCircle Family holds the account, Circle and care-coordination information that you or other Circle members choose to add, plus information needed to operate and secure the service.
Circle access is limited
Care information is available only to members of the relevant Circle according to their role. Access rules are checked at the database on each read and write, rather than relying only on what a screen displays.
Some information is more restricted
Wishes are private to their author unless shared, and Memories are limited to close-family roles. Files are held in private storage and opened using short-lived links created for the request.
Care information is not advertising data
Health and care information is not sold, used for advertising or used to target sponsors or partners. Sponsors and partners do not have access to Circles or their records.
You have account controls
Signed-in members can manage their account. Members with the export option can download records their role permits; account deletion asks an owner to decide whether to transfer or delete each Circle they own.
Sharing and access inside a Circle
A Circle is shared by invitation. Roles determine what a member can see and change, and the owner can remove a member's access. Families remain responsible for inviting only people who should see the information and for recording information about another person only where they are entitled to do so. Your information and your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your information, request a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Some actions, including export and deletion, are available directly in the app. Privacy requests can be sent to us@carecirclefamily.app. We verify identity before acting on a request.
The public Delete my account page explains the self-service process and what happens to Circles you own or have joined. Shared Circle history may remain for other members without your account attached when you leave a Circle; the Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
