Why the good days matter when you're caring
Part of Carer wellbeing

When care fills the diary with appointments and problems, it's easy to lose sight of the person and the ordinary good moments. Noting some of those moments — if you want to — can help the whole family remember who they are, not just what they need.
Not forced positivity
Hard days are real, and you don't have to find a bright side. Good moments can sit alongside difficult ones.
Ordinary is enough
A shared cup of tea, a favourite song, a laugh at an old story. These don't need to be milestones.
Keep it light
A single photo or line is plenty. There's no score, and no pressure to record anything.
